How I Stopped Drinking – eBook Review
Is there a new cure for alcoholism? When people think of an alcoholic, they generally envision a skid-row drunk. In reality, alcoholics come from every kind of background, and there is never any shortage of talent or mind power in any group of people addicted to alcohol. They are just that – people from every part of the spectrum with an alcohol abuse problem.
In my case, when I realized I was an alcoholic, I was appalled that I had fallen so far. This didn't happen to someone with my dreams and ambitions. I worked full time and went to college at night. I remember lying on my bed doing my homework with a fifth of vodka next to me to get through it. In the beginning, drinking gave me energy.
I went a few years being a highly functional addict. The problem with being functional while you are using is you are lulled into thinking that your drinking isn't a problem because your life is still going well. I hadn't run into any severe problems – yet.
Fast forward – my friends were dropping like flies. My outlook on the world was grim. I got two drunk driving tickets back to back. I couldn't handle my job emotionally. I was always in an uproar about something. My relationship at the time, which was a very important one, fell apart. Members of my family could not believe the self destruction they were witnessing. Then I really started drinking.
I went to A.A. for a long time. Those people really tried to help me, but I couldn't stop drinking. I went into rehab, twice, and the results were nil. Alcohol was too big for me, I always lost the war.
I was beyond desperate and really had accepted the fact that I would never be able to stop drinking, so my only option was to cut down as much as possible, which I struggled with constantly. Then I ran into Max Fisher's ebook "How I Stopped Drinking", and started using his formula. I could see the difference within the first week or so. I wasn't thinking about alcohol as much anymore, and after a few more weeks, I was able to stop completely. That is why the only link you will ever find in my articles or anything else I do is solely to Max Fisher's site. I got sober using his easy, simple formula (he even says it's so easy it's laughable). I never would have believed it, but it is very powerful, and was the only thing that ever worked or could work, for me. If it wasn't for his formula I would still be out there, and I am very grateful to have finally found the answer.
I have run across many comments on "How I Stopped Drinking" in forums and in various articles, and it is working for a lot of people. Did Max Fisher find the cure for alcoholism? In my case he did.
